ABOUT US

Sharon London Vintage and Design is a continuation in the journey of two partners, Sharon Broit and Carl Mateo. Having met in the East Village of New York City while pursuing their passion for art , music, fashion and life in the big city, Sharon and Carl began selling recycled vintage clothing as a means of creating financial independence and creative expression all rolled into one. It has been a wild journey during which they have sold thousands of one of a kind items to happy smiling customers from all over the globe. Creating new and upcycled lines of tops, skirts, and dresses using recycled vintage textiles and pieces led to the opening of Hairy Mary’s Vintage & Design, their boutique on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. As a fashion hot spot they garnered praise and editorials in the press, contributing to the revitalization of the Lower East Side. Their products appeared in numerous fashion shows, films and TV incuding Ugly Betty, Sex and The City, Confessions of a Shopahoic, Ice Queen and TV show pilot of NYC Prep and most importantly increased their already loyal following with many new customers. With the opening of their online store Hairy Mary's has now officially become Sharon London Vintage & Design. You can find Sharon or Carl in person at the amazing Brooklyn Flea on weekends.
